What’s your favourite feature?
The integratio n between the ho use an d the

Any challenges overcome during the re novation?
The idea of building a third floor after the
beginning of the work s was a real challen ge,
especially con sidering we were requi red to respect
the current volume of the house.
Any inspiration in particular for the interiors?
We wanted to have the best of the n atio nal an d
intern atio nal design living in harmo ny in the hou se.

Italian-design bathroom accessories
and Statuary marble were used on the
main bathroom, with Nanoglass on the
Furnishings and decor are hand-
selected by Gisele from prominent
Italian and Brazilian brands. “All the
woodwork furniture was made by Cap
Marcenaria, while the lighting designer
Maneco Quinderé and landscape designer
Gilberto Elkis were heavily involved in the
process,” she says.
“All the finishes and materials are of
a very high standard, however the image
we wanted to consistently present was
one of simplicity and homogeneity as
a backdrop to befittingly showcase the
artworks and furniture.”
As if we needed one more reason to
fall in love with Rio, this exotic Brazilian
residence, lushly outfitted with grand open
spaces and bold, contemporary decor, is

in the master bathroom work with the white, colonial-style house
and complement the spectacular garden.
10 The house is surrounded by sublime mature gardens.
The materials palette offers a prevalence of all-natural
textures: marble and wood, lavish textiles and ample
glazed surfaces... white walls and dark brown aluminium.
