Whether you’re cooking up a storm or entertaining friends, it’s important to ‘summer-ise’
the kitchen this season, to get you in the mood. A fresh lick of paint, colourful accents on a
ne utral background, and bri nging the outside in are great ways of brighteni ng up the kitchen.
Taking in spiration fro m this kitchen by Sa rah Waller D esign , the brief was all abo ut a minimal palette,
the materials an d plain s. The kitchen is pe rfect fo r the home entertain er, with ever ything co n cealed
behind handle-free doors and a scullery tucked out of sight behind a glass sliding door. Sarah sees
a move towards a more organic and natural palette with pops of colour in the coming months.
“ Tan geri ne is very hot this season , as are the fl u oro green s,” she says. “A bright o ran ge vase filled with
gree ner y is a quick an d easy option of brightening up the space, however don’t overdo it with colou r –
remember, less is mo re. C olo ur tren ds come an d go with the seaso ns, so do n’t over- commit.
