Why is your new website so important? The Collection Online is a
continuously growing digital archive of documentary material from across Asia.
This platform for research has the capacity to enrich and challenge the way
art history is written and shared by providing access to previously unavailable
documents and writings by artists, artistic movements, critics, and curators.
How long has the website been in development? AAA has been working to
rebuild the website a nd develop the Collection Online for the past four years.
Who is using it? Students, teachers, scholars, curators, artists, collectors,
writers, journalists, and others interested in the field. It is an independent
source of information for collectors and a source of inspiration to artists,
educators, and theorists.
What next? Our goal is to make available online as much of the material we
house as possible. After the initial lau n ch, ou r energies will be focused o n
increasing digital access to our collection.
