A retrospective celebrating the life a nd wo rk of fashio n master Yohji Yamamoto
has just opened at London’s Victoria & Albert Museum. As one of the world’s
most influ en tial an d enigmatic design ers, Yohji’s show featu res mo re than 80
garments from both his women’s and men’s collections. Born in Tokyo in 1943,
his aesthetic often challen ges con ventio ns of fashio n, an d at times subverts
gen der stereotypes. A takeaway ran ge design ed by the man himself is available
