A new design for a classic hotel
The Mondrian on Sunset Boulevard
was originally designed by Philippe
Starck. The redesign has been handled
by up-and-coming interior designer
Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz, who added
a warmer edge with plush drapes,
s hag -pile cushions and a colo ur p alet te
of soft blues and purples. The sexiness
that has always charac ter ised this
hotspot is still alive and well, though,
as cheeky lucite love seats, full-length
oversized mirrors and the ever-sceney
Skybar at test. Visit mondrianhotel.com.
