“The Barceloneta is a real winner. It’s a classic design. I have always loved it
as a style of chair from the 1920s and Serralunga has reinterpreted it as an
outdoor chair... I’ve had a sit... it’s very comfortable”– D es Ba rbera f ro m T he Terr ace G a rde ne r
A EURO TWIST
Modern European style abounds at The Terrace Gardener, just in time for spring. With the
easily stacked Barceloneta (right and above right), $1095 each, Serralunga has given a classic
chair (the Barcelona) a modern twist. Also look to the multifunctional Lluna (above), which
can be used as a planter or an ice bucket. An option includes LED lighting that illuminates
below the planter, so it’s also an outdoor lamp, too. Price $795-$1095 with lighting. Wheels
are also an option. The Terrace Gardener (08) 9386 4499.
A new lighting company is bringing us colourful, and innovative, options for the outdoors.
Our favourite? Molite. This company is pitched more to the commercial market – pubs,
clubs and more – but the Outdoor Objects range of globes and cubes is perfect for your
courtyard or backyard. They are not just weather-proof, but waterproof. Yes, you can
toss them in your swimming pool. We also love the idea of scattering them about the
garden for an easy hue hit. They are wireless and come packing colour-changing LED
technology. Definitely our hot tip for spring/summer. Lighting Options Australia (08) 6142

Outdoor Objects globes,
various sizes, from $440 each.

+ Ultimo has the exclusive Australian distributorship for Varaschin and will use 100sqm
