Peter and Sue wanted it to look like it s been
there a hundred years.
Most people think it s a renovation but the
only remaining structures from the original property
are three massive pine trees and a small section of
neighbouring picket fence.
They wanted it to appear single storey from the
street, though it s actually three levels to accommodate
the slope of the block.The lower level undercroft
was built large enough to include a multi-car garage,
storage for Peter s spinnakers and a climate controlled
cellar for their extensive wine collection.
He wanted a well lit and spacious office. She s
a reader who always wanted a beautiful library with
leadlights.The children wanted space of their own.
They love casual entertaining so we designed a
large, open-plan kitchen and a dining area that spills
onto an alfresco area which in turn overlooks the
swimming pool and landscaped gardens. A section
