"Ric and Cherry love the whole
downstairs area and the way it functions,
especially the kitchen," says Nanda.
"It's always nice when at the end of it the
client feels like it was an easy and simple
process. And that's what the house needs
to feel like too, not to feel like there was
ever a site issue that was dealt with

GOOD HOUSE KEEPING
Here's a smart idea.
Instead of having important possessions strewn
across several rooms, the "home station" in this house
provides a base for all of them in one spot.
This handy room tucked behind the kitchen is a
place to leave keys, charge mobiles and station laptops
for easy access.
"I like to integrate cabinets and drop files too," says
architect Nanda Day. "So if you've got kids, permission
slips and bills can all be filed in the one spot.
Generally it's also where you put security monitors or a
