It's the sort of home cars slow down
for as they drive past, and children

interior designer Nanda Day, of Day Designs
"It sounds corny, but I'm a big believer
in the concept that a house is a living
organism," she says. "It has its own presence
and aura about it. You don't always realise
how a lot of the homes and places you go to
affect the way you feel. But there's a lot of
value and logic in that."
Given the location of this house, at the
centre of residential development on the
former Hollywood High School site, Nanda
saw an opportunity to create a particularly
